Sigma 330
kontron2004.veloce-it.net/ From Kontron Medical SAS;
'The Sigma 330 is a versatile, digital, mobile Ultrasound System, upgradeable from 2D to Doppler, Color Flow Mapping and 3D.
The Sigma 330 displays excellent image quality and superb Doppler and CFM sensitivity, employing ATEC™ (Advanced Tissue Echo Cancellation), a revolutionary technology developed by the Kontron Medical R&D Center, which removes tissue artifacts ('ghosting').'

Specifications for this system will be available soon.

Signal Coupling
Signal coupling in ultrasound is a term used to describe the state of sound propagation between the transducer and tissue. Signal coupling is degraded by air bubbles and materials that do not conduct sound.

Signal to Noise Ratio
(SNR) Signal to Noise Ratio is the ratio of the amplitude of a signal to undesired noise. The larger the signal noise ratio, the easier is the detection and measurement of a signal. The sensitivity of any device is limited by the SNR. The SNR for sound is often expressed in decibel.
